What is a Wet Film Thicknes Gauge

Nearly all paints have an intended wet film thickness for proper coverage and coating performance. Paint failures can have devastating and expensive results to correct. One of the steps you can take to ensure you properly apply the coating as designed is to measure how much paint you are applying on the surface.

Before beginning any paint project, it is essential to read and understand both the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) . These documents provide information to properly and safely apply the product you are working with.

In this video, I explain wet and dry film build and how to measure it.
